A Successful Launch of Xi’an — Sheremetyevo Cargo Flight Program
On November 9 at 10:40 a.m. local time, a B757-200 cargo boeing of YTO Airlines departed from Xi’an Airport in Central China. This is the first flight in ATC’s cargo program with YTO Airlines and Aviastar-TU Airlines. YTO delivers cargo to Novosibirsk, where it is transshipped without pallet unpacking to Aviastar-TU Airlines’ B757-200 cargo boeing, which delivers cargo to Sheremetyevo on the same day.
The route is special due to the fact that both its segments are performed by the same B757-200 aircraft, which allows to make a connection without unpacking aircraft pallets and without loss of loading efficiency. On average, the time between arrival of the flight to Novosibirsk and departure from Novosibirsk to Sheremetyevo is 3 hours.
The aircraft is capable of carrying up to 25 tons of cargo. It is allowed to load individual pieces up to 190 cm in height.
Cargoes with non-hazardous chemicals and electronics with lithium batteries are accepted for transportation on the route.
The program is designed for 5 flights per week.
