Ho Chi Minh – Sheremetyevo Direct Flights

ATC launched a direct service from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, to Sheremetyevo. The flights are performed by a Royal Flight Airlines passenger aircraft refitted for cargo transportation.

The first flight was performed on December 19. It is planned to operate one flight per week on Saturdays by the end of the year, and 2 times per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays from January 2.

The December 19 flight carried more than 10 tons of fresh fruit, as well as Vietnam Post and EMS mail pieces.

Commentary by the representative of ATC in Vietnam Konstantin Prikhodko:

We started this route primarily to meet the demand of Vietnamese fruit exporters. Performing two regular flights per week will allow us to ensure a quick and regular fruit delivery. Additionally we develop the mail delivery area being mindful of conventional commercial cargoes. Vietnamese economy has not suffered greatly thanks to the Vietnamese government’s proper responses to the coronavirus epidemic, so we feel optimistic about 2021. We plan to establish a regular timetable in the mid-term perspective.
