ATC Launches a New Aliexpress Packages Delivery Channel

ATC group, Cainiao Smart Logistics Network (the logistics division of Alibaba group), and X5 Omni, a subsidiary of X5 Retail Group, launched a new parcels delivery service from Aliexpress trading platform to Russian recipients. Mail pieces are being delivered to collection points and postamats in the stores of X5 Retail Group operating Perekrestok, Pyatyorochka and Karusel networks. A trial batch of parcels was shipped from China in the end of June and will be delivered to collection points by the end of this week.

X5 Omni currently operates two distribution centers and more than 2,200 postamats and collection points. It plans to increase their number to 5,000 by the end of the year.

Within the framework of cooperation, ATC carries out export execution of shipments in China and their long haul to Moscow. Commentary by the Director of Operations of АТС China Pavel Avramenko:

We have a long and successful history of cooperation with Cainiao Smart Logistics on routes to Russia. The new product will enhance the range of Aliexpress logistics solutions and diversify delivery options. The service implies delivery of parcels to Russia by air. When we reach the rated capacities, packages delivery time from their receipt at one of the three ATC entry points in China, and namely Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, till their arrival to one of Moscow airports will not exceed 4-6 days. This year we plan to improve the figure to 48 hours.
