2019/03/11
Air Mail Logistics Korea Co., Ltd (AMLK), being a representative of АТС Group in South Korea has signed an Agreement on Cooperation with local airlines – Eastar Jet and Jeju Air. Denis Kim, the Director of ATC South Korea comments: “Due to agreements achieved we have obtained the possibility to ship mail and cargo by regular passenger flights on dynamically developing route Incheon – Vladivostok: from the end of January 2019 – with Eastar Jet, and from April 2019 – with Jeju Air. ATC has helped these two airlines to choose and sign agreements with ground handling agents in Incheon and Vladivostok Airports. We have namely created for them the ground on which their business in air freight can be developed on this market, as before they have just transported the passengers and never considered cargo shipments as a potential income source” As per the last two years, almost all Korean airlines have launched flights to Vladivostok from secveral airports across Korea. The frequency and geography of flights broadens constantly. Vigorous development of passenger transportation market to Vladivostok was due to abrupt increase in Korean tourist flow to Russia, which has followed the mutual agreement on non-visa regime for short-time travel, signed by Russian Federation and South Korea and took effect from January 1st, 2014, as well as due to the intensive promotion of Vladivostok in Korean mass media as an affordable and attractive tourist center with high service.
