FESCO launches regular container train YIWU-MOSCOW

Transportation group FESCO launches weekly container train from Chinese city of Yiwu, Zheijiang province to Moscow via Mongolia, broadening therefore the geography of rail services between China and Russia. The first train with import cargoes departed on December 29, 2018 and plans to arrive to destination port on the January 11. Total transit time is 14 days, which is three times faster than the route via Suez channel. The route goes via border points Erlian/Zamyn-UuD/Naushki. FESCO owned platforms and containers are used to ship cargo. Mostly, the service is focused on delivering consumer goods from China. The planned volume of shipments is 400-500 TEU per month. In the perspective, FESCO also plans to launch the delivery of perishables in refrigerator containers along this route.
